| Welcome to The Superhero Run |
"Every child needs a hero...but abused children need Superheroes!"TM Be a Superhero - Help Fight Child Abuse Welcome to the crusade against child abuse. We are a group of believers. We believe that it is possible to break the chains of abuse with the right educational programs, the right awareness campaigns, stricter abuse laws, the right support for those that fight abuse and help rehabilitate the victims of abuse. And most of all we believe in hope and love....which is what every child victim of abuse deserves. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and every year you are invited to partake in a Fun-Run and Jam to raise awareness for the cause of Child Abuse Prevention, and to benefit the great organizations that help battle this horrible epidemic. This year, we had our first 5k run in Austin Texas - fully clad as our favorite superheroes. The Superhero Run was a tremendous success, with over 100 runners flying through the streets of this great city - sharing their hearts with the victims of child abuse. We were about to get the word out and raise awareness for National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and raise funds for 2 great organizations here in Austin that are helping in this battle: the Center for Child Protection and the Helping Hand Home for Children.
